My Favorite Window- A Poem
62
My Favorite Window
I see a kite flying in the sky
Green woods, marsh, my community
And a golden lining of the horizon
The earth-sky union
I see a little bird in the nest trying to fly
I see honey bees, little sparrows
a tinny river so far, and the back slope meadow.
Through my favorite window
I see business, I see freedom
I see a street child, a beggar
A group of kids playing soccer
I see the first sunbeam, the twinkling of the first star
I see a curve moon, clouds and the night’s stranger.
I see the leaves of tree moving
I see the time flow
Through my favorite window
I see drops of rain
Fog, mist and season change
I see life and living
I see the motion, the fixation
Sorrow and happiness
In all my days
I see the nature painting
A rainbow
Through my favorite window

Wonderful poem Saleheen and enjoyed the images that your words conjured up.
I love to sometimes stand by my window and look at the sky and see the beautiful sun setting or watch as the heavens open up and rain drops fall.
Thanks for sharing your lovely thoughts.
Thank you for sharing your - window...and your beautiful writing as well.
Lovely, just lovely, Saleheen . You have a gift with words and phrases! I can almost share your gaze from that window!!
Very nice Saleheen.
And the photo was just the right touch.
