Capture an image from a movie Microsoft Windows Media Player
Many a time while watching a movie or video in windows media player we wish to get a single image out of the whole. Al tough media players don't allow us to capture image from a video we can do it going through few easy steps. Here are some tips you can follow to capture an image from windows media player.
First solution
Get into windows media player then:
1."CTRL + I",
2."Save Captured Image" you may set any name or save as "capture"
Follow the second solution for a better resolution picture.
Second solution
Notice: It will work for any type of movie file.Once you have captured an image it should be changed back so that it cannot cause other issue.
- Open Microsoft Windows Media Player.
- Tools > Options.
- Performance tab
- Advanced button
- Go to Video Acceleration Settings uncheck "Use Overlays"
- Ok.
- Apply, say yes if prompted, and then Ok in the Options window.
- Start the movie file and when you reach the location take a screen shot.
- Repeat the same above steps however check the "User Overlays" box to re-enable this feature
Tip: Press and hold the ALT key with the Print Screen key. IT will enable you to create a screen shot only for the currently active windows.

Very informative hub. Thank you. I thought the only way to get a still shot from a video was through Picasa 3 which is what I have been using.
